Connecting the iPod to your computer

What are the minimum computer requirements for iPod?

How do I create a playlist on the iPod?
You can create a "on the go" playlist by holding the middle button on the click wheel over a song you wish to add. The song will flash twice indicating it has been added.

Can I delete songs directly on the iPod?
No, to delete songs you must connect your iPod to the iTunes software.

What music formats can the iPod play?
All iPod models support AAC, MP3, Audible, Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV. For older iPod models a firmware upgrade can be done through iTunes to ensure compatibility with every audio format.

What video formats can the iPod play?

How can I reset my iPod?
By holding the play/pause and select button simultaneously for a few seconds the iPod will reset itself.

How can I restore the factory defaults on the iPod?
When the iPod is connected to iTunes there is an option "restore". Be aware that restoring an iPod will erase everything on the iPod.

Is it possible to change the iPod battery?
